Can you beat an egg? Over 120 people joined us at The Park at Bothell Landing on Saturday, September 10th to find out. The First Annual Northshore Water Polo Eggbeater 5K Run/Walk was a terrific success. Our goal was to raise $15,000 to support Boys and Girls high school water polo in the Northshore School District. We nearly reached our goal thanks to 12 wonderful sponsors, generous donors, and runners and walkers from ages 7 to 78. The Eggbeater 5k will be back in 2023, so hatch a plan to join us!
Visit our RunSignUp event website to see race photos or to donate to our program. Sincere thanks to our sponsors who supported the Eggbeater 5k and our players. We're honored to call USA Water Polo our Power Shot Sponsor. Skipshot Sponsors include The Everett Clinic, Woodin Creek Village, and Bruchal Orthodontics. What do eggs have to do with water polo? It's simple, eggbeater is the name of the fundamental kick players use to stay upright and stable in the water without getting eggs-hausted. As a tribute, a few egg-straordinary yolks will be whisking it all by dressing up as eggs trying not to get beat out on the course.
This egg-citing family-oriented event is presented by the Northshore Water Polo Booster Club and supports growth of the sport of Water Polo at Bothell, Inglemoor, North Creek and Woodinville High Schools.
Proceeds and sponsorship dollars will fund pool rental for practices and games, quality coaching and officiating, regulation balls and equipment for boys' and girls' teams, and will offset player fees to make high school water polo accessible to all interested players.
